I know many Christians who view Christianity as a method for helping them become a better person; those people I admire and think have got the right idea. But I know (and know of) far too many who view the ritual of Church as a way to ‘excuse themselves’ of whatever churlish behavior they engaged in during the week, and don’t seem to try to better themselves. The article explains it far better than I can.
