- Wordle is a web toy by former They Might Be Giants drummer Jonathan Feinberg that takes any text or URL (with an RSS feed) and builds a word cloud out of it. Via Ben Fry.
- A class of students come up with some really spectacular conceptual ads for various products. Via NOTCOT.
- The Telegraph in the UK put up a lovely set of maps of the world, with pieces resized to reflect various statistics. Via Kottke.
- The city of Brussels, in Belgium, puts together a rug made of flowers every year. Via Digg.
- Here’s an interactive map of personality traits by state from the Wall Street Journal, showing which states are the most extroverted, conscientious, open, etc. Interesting findings. Via The New Shelton Wet/Dry.
- New York has started adding some aesthetically-pleasing raised subway grates to prevent issues from floodwaters. Via The New Shelton Wet/Dry.
