This weekend I’ve got work to do and a haircut to get. I’ve got a scary amount of links stored up though. I’ve been digging through the archives of Kottke to find interesting things. I’ve found a few.
- First, for some roller derby friends, per our idle discussion, someone is working on a roller derby video game. In Wisconsin, no less.
- What can you buy for Five Dollars? Via NOTCOT.
- Things that got me marked down on my thesis. (via Kottke)
- An art project in the rivers circling Manhattan, meant to look like a small version of Central Park, was for a few hours one day pursued by a miniature version of Christo’s “The Gates”. (via Kottke)
- Oklahoma City’s got plans to move the interstate away from the center of town. (via Kottke)
- Less common HTTP status codes (via Kottke).
- A touching short story from Eastern Europe, translated. (via Kottke)
- A group of artists has created a font to combat the use of Microsoft’s Comic Sans. I present to you: Serious Sans. (via Kottke).
- If you’ve ever seen the Cutey Honey anime series, you know that the main character shouts “Honey Flash”, becomes naked for a few seconds, then transforms into whatever the plot calls for. Apparently there’s a live action movie from 2004, and io9 found some footage (possibly not safe for work, in a soft-core Cinemax kind of way): Live action Cutey Honey
And with that, here’s a video that *is* safe for work, if perhaps a bit silly. Via Slate via Kottke, I give you Cooking with Vincent Price.
